Philippe Etienne

M, b. circa 1630, d. circa 7 July 1710
     Philippe was born circa 1630 in Marennes, Charente-Maritime, Poitou-Charentes, France. He was the son of Mathurin Etienne & Louise Arsonnelle. Philippe married Marie Vienne, daughter of Etienne Vienne and Marie Deneau, on 26 January 1655 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, at the Cathedral de l'Assomption.1 1666, Philippe and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Trois-Rivieres. Enumerated in this household were Philippe Estienne [35 years], Marie Viey [27 years - widow of Lanqueteau], Francois Lanqueteau [12 years], Charlotte [9 years], Jeanne [8 years], Marguerite [4 years], Charles [1 year], mother: Marie Guinot Delamartiniere [60 years] & servant: Jacques Frereau [25 years].2 1667, Philippe and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Comte-de-Champlain, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Philippe Estienne [40 years], Marie Vienne [28 years], Francois Lanqueteau [14 years], Marie [11 years], Jeanne [10 years], Marguerite [6 years], Charles [3 year], Marie [1 year].2 Philippe's wife, Marie, died in 1667 in Trois-Rivieres, leaving him a widow. He married 2nd on 11 November 1667 Marie Gravois at Trois-Rivieres.3 1681, Philippe was listed on the Canadian Census in Trois-Rivieres. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Monday, 7 July 1710.4
