Antoine De Serre

     Antoine was born circa 1638 in St-Amand-de-Boixe, Angouleme, Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France. He was the son of Fracois Serre & Antoinette Roby.¹ Antoine married Mathurine Belanger, daughter of Francois Belanger and Marie Guyon, on 2 October 1674 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.¹ Antoine and Mathurine had children: Michel [7/24/1675-9/09/1712][m. 6/22/1702 Marie Catherine Crevier Bellerive], Antoine [1/27/1677-], Francois [9/13/1678-], Marie Madeleine [9/30/1680-1/03/1758][m. 1/11/1703 Francois Lefebvre Angers Bellecau], Marie Angelique [4/01/1683-7/09/1755][m. Nicolas Langlois], Marie Francoise [9/27/1684-12/17/1749][m. Julien Valentin Gregoire] & Jean Baptiste [10/04/1686].² 1681, Antoine and Mathurine were listed on the Canadian Census. Enumerated in this household were Antoine De Serre [43 years], Mathurine Bellanger [30 years], Michel [6 years], Antoine [4 years], Francois [3 years] & Madeleine [2 years].³ Antoine departed this life in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois-de-Sales, Pointe-Aux-Tremples on Saturday, 1 November 1687.⁴
