Catherine de Belleau

     Catherine was born circa 1639 in St-Aignen, Mondidier, Picardie, France. She was the daughter of Francois de Belleau, son of Antoine de Belleau & Catherine de Vualpergue and Anne Breda, daughter of Christophe de Brede & Francoise de Goussencourt.1 In 1667, Catherine immigrated aboard the ship In 1667, she immigrated from France to Quebec as one of the as one of the "Daughters of the King".2 Catherine married Jean-Baptiste Morin, son of Noël Morin and Hélène Desportes, on 22 November 1667 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.3 Jean-Baptiste & Catherine had children: Marie [1/01/1672-01/26/1672] & Marie-Anne [7/31/1675-12/31/1702][m. 1/08/1691 Jacques Pinquet dit Beaucour].4 Catherine's husband, Jean-Baptiste, died circa 12 December 1694 in ville de Quebec at Hotel-Dieu, leaving her a widow. Catherine departed this life after 1706.5
