Marguerite Courivaux

F, b. circa 1626, d. 19 April 1673
     Marguerite was born circa 1626 in Angouleme, Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France.1 She married Jean leFranc on 31 December 1643 and married second, Rene Maheu on 21 May 1648.1 Marguerite married Jean Maheu, son of Jacques Maheu and Anne Couvent, on 16 July 1663 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1666, Marguerite and her husband, Jean, were listed on the Canadian Census at ville de Quebec. Enumerated in this household were Jean Maheut [23 years], a merchant, Marguerite Corrivaut [40 years], the widow of Rene Maheut, Jean Paul [17 years], Louis [15 years], a domestic, Jacques Jore [21 years] & a servant, Barbe Halle [20 years]. Marguerite departed this life on Wednesday, 19 April 1673 in ville de Quebec. She was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Thursday, 20 April 1673.3
