     Thomas was born circa 1616 in Tiverton, Devonshire, England. Thomas married Agnes Puddington on 13 January 1635 in Tiverton at St. Peter's Church.1 Thomas and Agnes had children: Thomas [chr. 9/16/1635-3/25/1640], Richard [chr. 7/29/1638], Jane [chr. 8/17/1641], Agnes [5/21/1644] Thomas [chr. 10/22/1647], Mary [1650] & Sarah [1652]. Thomas made his will on 14 April 1654.

Thomas Cornish, Clothier of Triverton, co. Devon.
To be buried in the Church or Churchyard of Triverton. To son Richard 50 pounds to be paid within 2 years of decease, and employed for his use by his executors until age 21. To son Richard Cornish for life, after the decease of wife Agnes, the house and garden of Mr. Geo. Waldron. To son Richard and heirs forever, land purchased of John Berry where the house is pulled down, and if he die, to son Thomas Cornish and heirs forever. To son Thomas Cornish 50 pounds with same conditions as for son Richard. To son Thomas Cornish after the death of “my wife his mother” his Chattel. To daughter Jane Cornish 35 pounds paid within two years of decease. To daughter Agnes Cornish 35 pounds paid within two years of decease. To daughter Mary Cornish 35 pounds paid within two years of decease. To daughter Sarah Cornish 35 pounds paid within two years of decease. Wife Agnes to have benefit of money before mentioned until each of children reach the age of 14 and then each child to have benefit of their portion. To be paid to sons at age 21 and daughters at age 19 or marriage. If any child die, one half to go back to his wife and one half to be divided equally among the surviving children.
Desires mother Grace Honniwell, widow, to remain with his wife Agnes. If she and wife cannot agree and live together, then his mother is to take some other house and within a month of her departure wife Agnes is to give her 40 shillings.
Wife Agnes sole executrix. Cousins John Goddard and Master Peter Atkins to be rulers.

Thomas departed this life in Tiverton. He was buried there in St. Peter's Churchyard on Saturday, 18 April 1654.3 His will was probated on 4 July 1654.
