Jane (?)

F, d. after 13 October 1692
     Jane married 2nd William Horsford after 25 August 1641 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut. She was 1st married to Henry Foulke who died 12 September 1640 in Windsor, Connecticut. She & her 1st husband had also resided in Dorchester. She and William were blessed with no children. Jane's husband, William, died before 14 July 1660 in Tiverton, Devonshire, England, leaving her a widow. On 15 January 1671, she, being of Tiverton, Devonshire, England, gave use of her lands to her step son, John Horsford, during her life. The will she wrote was not dated.

I being going after my husband unto Old England, and not knowing when God may take me out of this life, do dispose of my goods as followeth: Imprimis : I do bequeath and it is my will, that after my decease the Church of Wyndsor, of which I am now a member, shall have and forever enjoy that piece of meadow Land which belongeth unto me called Hoyt's Meadow, for the use of a pastor or Teacher of the Church, as the Church shall see most need, and, when one dead, to go successively to another always. Item. Concerning the rest of my Estate, in the Hands of whosoever it is left or may be found, I bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Wildish and her children which I suppose live in Rochester in Kent, to be equally divided among them.

Jane's will was entered in Connecticut public records on 25 January 1677. Joanna returned to England with her husband. After not hearing from her for about 32 years, the court declared her death on 13 Oct 1692. Her will was probated in May 1693 at Connecticut.
