Joseph Cole

Joseph was born on Friday, 11 June 1677 in Harwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He was the son of John Cole and Ruth Snow.1 On 4 February 1701, Joseph married Elizabeth Cobb. The couple had 5 children. Joseph married 2nd Mercy Bangs, daughter of Jonathan Bangs and Mary Mayo, on 5 October 1715 in Eastham.1 Joseph and Mercy had children: Mercy [9/24/1716], Joseph [5/18/1718] & Mary [4/30/1721]. Joseph's wife, Mercy, died before 27 March 1747 in Eastham leaving him a widower.2 He married a third time to Rebecca Young Harding on 27 March 1747.2 Joseph made his will on 25 February 1764. In his will he mentions his wife, Rebecca and his children, but no reference is made to his step-sons or any of the Bang family.2 Joseph departed this life in Eastham. His will was probated on 12 March 1766.
