Marie-Rene Caron

F, b. 7 April 1700, d. circa 24 April 1769
     Marie-Rene was born on Wednesday, 7 April 1700 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jean Caron & Therese Billy. She was christened on the same day there in the church of La Visitation.1 Marie-Rene married Francois Rivard, son of Pierre Rivard dit Lanouette and Catherine Trottier, on 18 September 1724 in Champlain at the church of La Visitation.2 Francois & Marie-Renee had children: Marie Francoise [5/19/1725-4/25/1753][m. 11/03/1751 Pierre-Antoine Poisson dit Gentilly], Alexis [8/17/1727-8/19/1727], Alexis 4/15/1729-8/30/1730] Marie Genevieve [11/16/1730-3/14/1812][m. 10/30/1752 Francois Raux dit Alexandre], Jean-Baptiste [9/27/1732-12/09/1786][m. 10/27/1766 Marie Angelique Bourbeau], Marie Madeleine [11/27/1734-12/15/1791][m. 1/27/1754 Alexis Poisson dit Gentilly], a daughter [1/031736-1/03/1736], Marie Therese [7/12/1737-3/23/1771][m. 2/02/1761 Antoine Turcot & 2nd 10/29/1770 Louis Raux], Marie-Anne [1/28/1739-12/08/1806][m. 2/27/1762 Alexis Poisson dit Gentilly] & Marie Angelique [9/05/1740-9/06/1740].3 Marie-Rene's husband, Francois, died circa 6 February 1741 in Batiscan, leaving her a widow. Marie-Rene departed this life in Champlain. She was buried there in the churchyard of la Visitation on Monday, 24 April 1769.4
