John was born in 1519 in Great Oakley, County Essex, England. John made his will on 22 September 1568. In his will John Busbye, late of Much Okeley (Great Oakley), Essex, now of Acley (Acle), Norfolk, mercer, gave to his oldest son Nicholas four of his best pots, to his daughter Agnes
£ 3.6.8 and a pair of silver spoons, to his daughter Joan £ 3.6.8 and a pair of silver laches when she reaches age 21, or if she should die before that time his son Edward was to have her legacy. Edward was given the rest of the estate and he was to be the executor. His nephew John Godfrey was to be the supervisor. Witnesses were Edmund Cooke, John Gouldurg, John Broughton and John Rochester.1 John departed this life in Acley, County Norfolk, England. His will was probated on 27 March 1570.
