Jacob Blosser

     Jacob was born on Friday, 13 January 1758 in Springettsbury Manor, Manchester Township, York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Peter Blaser, the immigrant. Jacob married Barbara Beery, daughter of Nicholas Beery II and Mary Elizabeth Keller, on 12 February 1788 in Springettsbury Manor, Manchester Township. Jacob & Barbara had children: Elizabeth [11/12/1788], Daniel [3/05/1790]. Mary [10/28/1791], Jacob [5/05/1793], Joseph [3/02/1795], Barbara [2/08/1797], Anna [1/27/1799], Samuel [5/06/1801-1802], John [4/22/1802], Magdalene [4/02/1804-1804] & Susanna [9.18.1805]. In 1789, Jacob & his family resided in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, and then by 1825, the family had removed to Mahoning County, Ohio. There, they belonged to the Mennonite Church. Jacob's wife, Barbara, died on 3 June 1840 leaving him a widower. Jacob departed this life on Thursday, 6 October 1842 in Mahoning County at age 84 years, 8 months and 23 days.
