Antoine Basinet dit Tourblanc

M, b. circa 1649, d. circa 24 June 1729
     Antoine was born circa 1649 in Perigueuz, Dordogne, Aquitaine, France, at St-Antoine-de-Tourblanc. He was the son of Jean Basinet and Marguerite Dusault.1 Antoine married Francoise Janot, daughter of Marin Janot dit Lachapelle and Francoise Benard, on 6 August 1674 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1681, Antoine and Francoise were listed on the Canadian Census in Notre Dame de Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Antoine Lefinet [32 years], Francoise Janot [23 years], Marie [6 years], Pierre [4 years] & Joseph [2 years]. [Note - This census was mistranscribed - Lefinet should have been Basinet - KLM]3 Antoine departed this life in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montreal. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Enfant-Jesus on Friday, 24 June 1729.4
