Francois Baril

M, b. circa 3 April 1690, d. 15 June 1759
     Francois was born in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of son of Jean Baril & Elisabeth Gagnon. He was christened there on 3 April 1690 in St-Francois-Xavier Church.1 Francois married Charlotte Gailloux, daughter of Pierre Gailloux and Marguerite Crete, on 11 February 1716 in Batiscan at St-Francois-Xavier Church.2 Francois & Marie-Charlotte had children: Marie Catherine [12/05/1716-7/24/1788][m. 2/18/1737 Joseph Ayotte], Francois [11/03/1718-7/06/1814][m. 2/19/1748 Genevieve Veillette], Marie Josephte [12/03/1720-11/30/1789][m. 1/30/1753 Louis-Joseph Rocheleau dit Vivier], Jean-Baptiste [5/03/1723-7/28/1747], Marie Charlotte [7/03/1723-7/28/1738], Marie-Anne [7/26/1727-5/31/1788][m. 1/13/1754 Pierre Cossette], Marie Marguerite [9/30/1730-9/30/1738], Joseph [5/27/1733-9/07/1759][m. 1/29/1759 Marie-Anne Thiffault] & Michel [6/17/1736].3 Francois's wife, Marie-Antoinette-Charlotte, died on 11 February 1758 in Batiscan leaving him a widower. Francois departed this life on Friday, 15 June 1759 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at Hotel-Dieu. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Saturday, 16 June 1759.4
