William Willis

M, d. before 18 October 1621
     William was born in Warminster, Wiltshire, England. William married Eliza Clarcke on 29 March 1573 in Warminster, Wiltshire, England, at St. Denys Church.1 William married 2nd Alice Edmunds on 30 May 1580 in Warminster, Wiltshire, England, at St. Denys Church.2 On his death bed, he made a nuncupative will. He gave it orallly to George Richardson, Mary Smith, Henry & John Willens and it has been recorded as follows:
William Willens late of the parish of warmister in the Countie of wilts husbandman now deceased, being sick in bodie, but of perfect memorie,did (some few daies before his death) utter these or the like wordes in the presence of Mr geroge Richardson, Henrie Willens, John Willens and others whose names ar under written. I have alreadie given all my children several portions, having by gods assistance so provided for them, that each one of them being fouer in number have a house to dwell in so long as they shall like, now therefore, my chefest are (Besyds my soules salvation) is for my wife Alice Willens, which, after my death will be destitute of house or home unto whome I give and bequeath all that by title I have left whether it be gookes or Chattels, and so I make her thesole and onlie executrix of this my last will and testament.3

           William departed this life before 18 October 1621 in Warminster, Wiltshire, England. The inventory of William's estate was taken on Monday, 18 October 1621. His estate was valued at 6 pounds, 5 sillings, 6 pence.4
