Daniel was born between 12 January 1745 and 1745 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Daniel married Martha Burt circa 1766 in Warwick, Orange County, New York. Around 1766, Daniel & his family resided at Warwick, Orange County, New York. He was a farmer. Daniel departed this life in June 1784 in Wyoming Region, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. He died of over-exertion. He was not fully recovered from an attack of the measles.
