George Westall I

M, d. 1694
     George was born in North Riding of Yorkshire, England. George came to Maryland prior to 1658. In 1659, Cecilus, Lord Baltimore, granted him a tract of 800 acres for his own immigration and the transportation of his son, George, & six other persons. He named his plantation "Scorton", a parish of North Riding of Yorkshire, England. This was undoubtly his native parish. It was on Scroton that the port of New London Town was laid out. They resided at South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. George departed this life in 1694 in South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
