     George was born in North Riding of Yorkshire, England. George married Sarah Wade, daughter of Robert Wade I, on 6 June 1678 in South River at All Hallow's Parish Church. George was a civil officer of Anne Arundel and signed an address of loyality to William of Orange and expressed his support against former King James. He lived at South River and the births of his children are recorded at All Hollows Parish. George made his will on 1 April 1701.

In the name of God Amen. The first day of April in the year of our Lord God 1701 – I George Westal of the County of Ann Arundel in the province of Maryland Planter being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same and calling to mind the uncertain estate of this humane life and that all men must yield unto death when it shall please God to call – Do make constitute and Ordain appoint and declare this to be my last will and testament Revoking annulling and making void by those appoints all other and former will and wills Testament and Testaments by me heretofore made and done either by word or writing and this only to be taken for my last will and testament and none other and first being humbly Penitent for my sins past and hoping to obtain forgiveness for the same and through the Merits of my blessed Savior to be eternally saved in hopes of which I comitt my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I comitt to the earth to be decently Interred by Executrix hereafter named and as for what Temporall Estate wherewith it hath pleased God for above my deserts to bestow upon me I give and bequeath the same to be disposed of in manner and form following that first I will request that those debts and duos within right and confidence I owe to any person or persons and discharged in sume convenient time after my decease by my Executix hereafter named –
Item I give and bequeath unto my deare and loving wife Sarah Westal all that plantation whereon I now dwell Situate & lying and being in Annarunall County aforesaid together with the land belonging to it during the term of her natural life and after decease I give and bequeath the same unto my youngest sonn John Westal to him and to his heirs forever but in default of such issue Lawfully begotten then I give and bequeath the same equally divided between my daughters Alice Westall and Rachel Westall and to my son John Westall my negro child.
I give to my Sons Richard Westall and George Westall all that piece parcell or tract of Land called “Jacksons Venture” Lying in Baltimore County on a Creek called Cuppotts Creek containing three hundred and fifty acres of land more or less to be equally divided between them share and share alike to enjoy the same for them and their heirs for ever but in Default of issue of their bodys lawfully begotten I will that his part and share shall fall to the survivor of them and their heirs Lawfully begotten but if both of my said Sons Richard Westall and George Westall shall happen to dye without issue as aforesaid then I give and bequeath the same to my said Son John Westall and his heirs forever -
Item I give and bequeath unto the two children of Thomas Cheney begotten of my daughter Sarah Cheney called Elizabeth Cheney and Thomas Cheney each of them an heifer
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Cheney the wife of Thomas Cheney the sum five pounds Sterling money to be paid immediately after my decease by my Executrix hereafter named and to my aforenamed Sons Richard and George Westall each of them a Gun to be delivered as aforesaid
Item Lastly I give and bequeath after my debts ______ and funeral charges shall be paid all the remainder of my estate either of cattle hoggs sheep horses mares or other in my personal estate to be equally divided my said wife and my said children Jane Westal Ricard Westal George Westal Alice Westal Rachall Westal and John Westal share and share alike to be equally divided between them and of this my last will and testament contained in one sheet of paper I leave my said wife my whole Sole and full Executrix and in case of her mortality I desire my two friends Leonard Wayman and my Son-in-law Thomas Cheney to be trustees of my last will. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and fixed my Seal the day and year above written

George departed this life in South River. He was buried there in All Hallows Church Cemetery on Friday, 17 March 1701/2.3

[S98] Harry Wright Newman, Anne Arundel Gentry, Volume III: page 152 - Her father [Elizabeth [Westall] Ridgely] had been brought to Maryland by his father Georges Westall Sr. In 1659, Cecilius, Lord Baltimore granted him a tract of 800 acres for his own immigration and the transporting of his som George and six other persons [Patents, Liber 16, Folio 553] He named his plantation "Scorton" - a parish in North Riding of Yorkshire which was undoubtly his native parish... the first wife of George Westall died before 1689, he married another Sarah who became his widow and married secondly William Maccubin. The birth of George Westall & several of his children is recorded in All Hollows Parish.
