     Irena was born on Tuesday, 19 July 1763 in Orange County, New York. Irena married Enos Mapes, son of Samuel Mapes and Mary Smith, on 26 March 1783 in Orange County, New York. Enos was a farmer. He settled the "Mile Square" tract which he helped his father to clear from the wilderness. He was one of the executors of his father's estate. She was buried at Howells, Orange County, New York, in the Mapes Burying Ground.
