     Julien was born in the village of Ige, Belleme, Orne, Normandy, France. He was christened there on 30 March 1636 in St-Martin Church.1 Julien married Marie Sedilot, daughter of Louis Sedilot and Marie Grimoult, on 16 August 1660 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1666, Julien and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Julien Trottier [30 years] Marie Sedillot [20 years], Elisabeth [2 years], his brother: Jean-Baptist [20 years] & servant: Antoine Lescuyer [18 years].3 1667, Julien and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Trois-Rivieres. Enumerated in this household were Antoine Leduc [20 years], Julien Trotier [31 years], Marie Tilli [21 years], Elisabeth [2 years], Catherine [1 year] & servant: Antoine Lescuyer [22 years].4 Julien departed this life before 21 September 1670 in Trois-Rivieres. On this day, his wife signed a contract of marriage.
