     Lidia was born circa 1761 in Fredricksburg, Dutchess County, New York. Lidia married Abner Doty circa 1780 in Dutchess County, New York. Lidia's husband, Abner, died after 12 October 1785 in Frederick, Southeast Town, Dutchess County, New York, leaving her a widow. Lidia married 2nd John Ballard circa 1786 in Dutchess County, New York.1 Lidia was noted as "deceased" in her father's will. She therefore died before 7 March 1808.

    The ancestor, whose name is not known, was a farmer and lived probably at South East, Putman County, N.Y. He died at an early age, about 1797. His widow married ________ Ballard and they had a daughter, Bethany or Bethaniah, who married Charles Tupper and lived at Mount Washington, probably in Putnam County.
