     Richard was born circa 1211 in Staffordsire, England, at the Manor of Bagot's Bromley. Richard married Christiana Mauveisin, daughter of Sir William Mauveisin, circa 1245. By 1256, he had inherited the estater of his father which included the Manor of Bagot's Bromley. He became a knight in 1256 or shortly after.3 Richard departed this life before June 1271 in Staffordsire, England, at the Manor of Bagot's Bromley.4

In the later year [1242] he occurs as a tenant of a Knight's fee in Bromley in a return of the Fees of the Stafford Barony…There is proof of his death in 1256, for at that date his son Richard was returned amongst the tenants in co. Stafford who held land of value of 15 pounds and upwards by Knight's service and were not yet knights.
