He mentions his wife, Hannah, & his children: Samuel, Anne, Margaret, Hannah, Martha, Gilbert & Jacob [two youngest sons to be kept at school until age fourteen], his mother Anne Searing [for son Samuel to take care of her according to his father's will]. nephew Jacob, cousin John. Executors wife and son Samuel. Witnesses: Daniel Searing, Jonathon Searing, John Searing and John Truckard. States of the Parish of Hempstead, Daniel Searing's land adjoins that that he gave to his son Samuel. [New York Wills: Liber 20, page 241]1 Samuel departed this life before 28 March 1757 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. His will was probated on 28 March 1757.
