John de Saint Philibert1

M, b. circa 1293, d. before 22 February 1333
     John de was born circa 1293 in Eaton Hastings, Berkshire, England. He is the son of Hugh de Saint Philibert and Alice. His age was proven in 1314. He inherited the following: Cresswell in Bray, Hanney, Sulham, and others in Bershire, and Tormarton and Southrop in Gloucestershire as well as other manors. John married Ada Botetourt, daughter of John Botetourt and Maud fitz Thomas, before 1322. Ada's parents settled the manor of Chignal Smealey, Essex unto the couple and to his heirs. John was a knight and was in military service under the Earl of Norfolk. His service was primarily over seas and in particular in Gascony during the 1320's. John departed this life before 22 February 1333 in Gascony, France.2
