     Etienne was born in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 2 December 1702 in St-Francois-de-Sales Church.1 Etienne married Therese-Catherine Grenier on 7 February 1735 in Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville at St-Francois-de-Sales Church.2 Etienne & Therese-Catherine had children: Madeleine [1/01/1736-4/27/178][m. 2/10/1760 Francois Vanasse dit Bastien], Etienne [5/08/1740-10/23/1828][m. 6/25/1771 Marie-Anne Godin], Jean-Baptiste [8/21/17455/09/1824][m. 11/13/1769 Marie Marguerite Rivet] & Pierre [11/07/1751-9/19/1826][m. 2/12/1781 Marie-Anne Vandal].3 Etienne's wife, Therese-Catherine, died on 13 May 1781 in Neuville leaving him a widower. Etienne departed this life on Sunday, 30 April 1786 in Les Ecureuils, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried at Les Ecureuils, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, in the churchyard of St-Jean-Baptiste.4
