     John was born circa 1490 in Brenchley, County Kent, England. It is not clear as to the name of his mother. His mother is either Thomas' 1st wife, Elizabeth, or his 2nd wife, Johne. John made his will on 26 August 1532 at Brenchley, County Kent, England. He gave 10 pounds to each of his daughters: Elizabeth, Margaret, Dennys & Mary at their marriage or age of 30 years. He gave 10 pounds to his wife, Agnes. His son, John, was given a cow & 40 shillings. He gave to his son, William, land in Brenchley, and five other parishes & him to pay his brother, Sir James, 40 shillings yearly. Land in two parishes given to his son, John. Lond in Tonbridge was to be sold & the money given to daughters: Katherine, Dorothy, & the four other daughters aforesaid. His son, William, & his son-in-law, Thomas Hereward, of Southerst were names his executors. His brother, George, was appointes overseerer.1 John departed this life before 17 October 1533 in Brenchley, County Kent, England. His will was probated on 17 October 1533.
