     Alexis was born on Sunday, 25 March 1685 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened on the same day there in the church of La Visitation.1 Alexis married Marie-Madeleine Duteau, daughter of Charles Duteau and Jeanne Rivard, on 27 February 1713 in Champlain at the church of La Visitation.2 Alexis & Marie-Madeleine had children: Pierre [12/06/1713], Marie Josephe [1715][m. 6/25/1737 Joseph Derosiers dit Lafreniere],Marie Madeleine Josephe [6/28/1717-1/06/1777][m. 4/07/1750 Pierre Turcot], Marie-Charlotte [3/24/1719-3/27/1719] & Marie-Genevieve [6/04/1721][m. 2/02/1751 Josphe-Marie Carpentier].3 Alexis departed this life in Ile-DuPas, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of La Visitation on Tuesday, 1 February 1763.4
