     Barbara was born on Tuesday, 20 February 1816 in Saint Nicolas Parish, Opflingen, Baden-Werttemberg, Germany. Barbara married Frederick Feiring Feirniey Fherring, son of Johan Frederick Ferring and Maria Catherine Gelbach, on 27 April 1837 in Crawford County, Ohio.1 Frederick & Barbara had children: Mary Ann [4/02/1838-12/30/1923][m. 8/31/1856 William Arment & 2nd. circa 1864 James William Rhuark], Caroline [9/24 1839-7/28/1910][m. 4/14/1856 Harmon Barth & 2nd. 3/30 1875 William Lambert], Frederick [12/28/1842-1/04/1885][m. 4/29/1866 Elizabeth Schuler], Jane [1845], George Henry [8/25/1847-5/08/1910]][m. 10/16/1873 Martha Ellen Ramor], Charles [9/14/1849-3/16/1915][m. 12/03/1874 Mary M. Hoerner], Emma [1854-2/19/1890][m. 4/28/1874 Andrew J. Keller], Martha [5/00/1856-1917][m. 4/02/1874 Henry A. Dubbs & 2nd. 10/12/1907 Henry H. Roush] & Ida [5/00/1859-1924][m. 1879 Ora O. Enumerated in this household were Fredrick Feiring [52 Bavaria], his wife: Barbara [46 Baden], children: Fredrick [17 Ohio][clerk], Henry [12 Ohio], Charles [10 Ohio], Emma [6 Ohio], Martha [4 Ohio] & Ida [1 Ohio]. Fred is an hotel Keeper.6 Barbara's husband, Frederick, died on 16 September 1866 in Bucyrus at his residence, the Western Hotel leaving her a widow. 29 June 1870, Barbara was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Bucyrus. Enumerated in this household were Barbara Fiering [52 Baden], children: Emma [16 Ohio], Martha [15 Ohio], & Ida [11 Ohio].7 17 June 1880, Barbara was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Bucyrus village. Enumerated in this household were Barbara Feiring [63 Baden], daughter: Mattie Dubbs [23 Ohio], Charles Dubbs [5 Ohio], & Anthony Dubbs [3 Ohio].8 Barbara departed this life on Saturday, 21 May 1887 in Kenton, Hardin County, Ohio, at home of her daughter, Emma Keller at age 71 years, 3 months and 1 day.9 She was buried there in Grove Cemetery.9
