Marguerite Piet

     Marguerite was born on Friday, 11 October 1680 in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 13 October 1680 in St-Pierre Church.¹ Marguerite married Francois Charron dit DuCharne on 30 January 1701 in Berthierville, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, at Ste-Genevieve Church.² Francois and Margerite had children: Jean Baptiste [1702-9/24/1776][m. 1/28/1732 Marie Jeanne Houde/Houle], Francois [6/17/1704-2/17/1784][m. 3/01/1734 Marie Catherine Joly dit Delbec], Marie Anne [5/01/1706][m. 1/10/1735 Jean Barre], Etienne [6/02/1708-5/26/1779][m. 11/11/1734 Marie Francoise LaTour dit LaForge], Marie Charlotte [6/01/1710][m. 6/27/1734 Jean Baptiste Chechette dit Frechette], Marie Marguerite [6/02/1712-3/25/1749][m. 11/09/1733 Thomas Duhamal dit Sansfacon], Jean Baptiste [1/26/1715-5/25/1794][m. 2/11/1732 Marie Marguerite Lapine Richard dit Maret], Marie Madeleine [11/16/1716-11/21/1789][m. 4/08/1740 Niof LaFrance], Marc Antoine [8/21/1718-10/12/1732], Joseph 9/05/1723-6/22/1806][m. 2/13/1748 Marie Anne Roseau] & Marie Genevieve [9/21/1725-11/16/1779][m. 1/13/1748 Jean Baptiste Pelletier dit Antaya].³ Marguerite departed this life on Sunday, 1 February 1761 in Berthierville at age 80 years, 3 months and 21 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Monday, 2 February 1761.⁴
