Marie Marthe Piche

     Marie Marthe was born on Thursday, 29 September 1712 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day at Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-de-Sales Church, Pointe-Aux-Tremples.1 Marie Marthe married Jean Baptiste Gingras, son of Charles Gingras and Marie Francoise Amiot dit Villeneuve, on 10 September 1731 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Augustin Church.2 Jean Baptiste and Marie Marthe had children: Marie Josephe [6/21/1712-1/01/1781][m. 2/07/1731 Gabriel Mathieu Charpentier], Jean Baptiste [4/08/1734], Marie Francoise [10/16/1735-9/14/1780][m. 5/23/1762 Jean Baptiste Deziel dit Labreche], Marie Therese [8/29/1737-11/06/1821][m. 1/18/1768 Francois Forget], Joseph [5/03/1739-8/24/1813][m. Marie Genevieve McCarthy], Marie Louise [6/01/1744-4/22/1745], Jean Baptiste [6/20/1746-11/17/1787][m. 2/17/1772 Marie Louise Marguerite Soyer] & Augustin [2/12/1748-9/11/1795][m. 9/25/1775 Marie Genevieve Lamy].3 Marie's husband, Jean, died on 23 May 1748 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures leaving her a widow. Marie departed this life on Thursday, 16 July 1789 in Ste-Rose-de- Lima, Laval County, Quebec, Canada, at age 76 years, 9 months and 17 days. She was buried at Ste-Rose-de- Lima, Laval County, Quebec, Canada, in the cemetery of Ste-Rose.4
