     Roger de was born in Staffordshire, England, at the Manor of Peshale in the parish of Eccleshall. Roger departed this life in 1354 in England. He was killed during this warfare which left the Peshall's very bitter. His murders were pardoned by those in power. Roger was Lord of Patteshull. Jane brought the Manor of Patteshull, Staffordshire to their marriage where Roger is Lord of the manor. took an active part in the warfare of Shropshire-Staffordshire involving the feud between his brother, Adam, & Hugh Wrottesley.

    ...This Sir William Shareshull was high-sheriff for this county 1 Henry IV [1399 –KLM] and died either that year or the next year without any issue; whereupon his lands descended to the issue of his sister, whose name was Elizabeth.

    [Note - The dates given here which are confirmed elsewhere are in complete contradiction of the records which speak of the killers of Roger de Peshale being pardoned of the murder of Roger in 1354. Thus, the Roger de Peshale spoken of here is of the Peshale family, but of a later generation. Consequently, the Roger of this record was also not the Lord of Patteshull. - KLM]
