Francois Pelloquin dit Credit

     Francois was born in St-Andre, Duex-Severes, Aquitaine, France. He was the son of Mathurin Pelloquin & Ambroise Syllart. A contract for the marriage of Francois Pelloquin dit Credit & Marie Niquet was signed on 8 July 1699. It was drawn up by notary Severin Ameau. It noted him as being origninally of St-Andre, Niort, Poitou and his parents as Mathurin Pelloquin & Ambroise Syllart. It noted her as the widow of Dominique Jutra; of St-Francois; her parents as Pierrie Niquet & Francoise Lemoine.¹ Francois married Marie Niquet, daughter of Pierre-Rene Niquet and Francoise Lemoine, on 20 July 1699 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, at the church of the Immaculate Conception.² Francois's wife, Marie, died circa 29 November 1706 in Trois-Rivieres, leaving him a widower. He married 2nd 7 January 1709 to Marie-Francoise Harel.
