     Jacques was born in 1646 in Nantes, Brittany, France, at Nozay Parish. Jacques married Marie Louise Lemaitre, daughter of Francois Lemaitre and Judith Riguad, on 22 January 1676. In the contract it was noted that the groom's mother was Anne Pivert & that the brides parents were the late Jean Lemaistre & Judith Rigaud, also that her step father was Jean Laplanche. [Note: the brides father was actually Francois Lemaitre - KLM]1 Jacques and Marie Louise had children: Marie Anne [12/27/1676-4/13/1703][m. Pierre Bertrand Deschevert dit Derochemont], Marie Jeanne [7/15/1681-2/03/1703][m. Jean Baptiste Neveu]1/24/1703], Julie Judith [1683-7/05/1768], twins - child [5/03/1686-5/03/1686], child [5/03/1686-5/03/1686], Francoise Elisabeth [5/12/1687-], Charles [1/02/1692-], Jacques [2/11/1692-7/15/1714], Jean Baptiste [4/19/1694-], Pierre [3/05/1696-1/25/1697] & Louis [4/05/1699]. [Note - The children dying in 1703 quite likely died of scarlet fever. The children with no death dates may also have died of the disease as an epidemic ravaged Quebec during that time. - KLM]2 1681, Jacques and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Louiseville, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Jacques Passart [35 years], Marie Lemaistre [28 years] & Marie [5 years].
