     Anne was born in 1632 in Dompierre-sur-Mer, near La Rochelle, Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France.2 A contract for the marriage of Michel Chauvin & Anne Archambault was signed on 22 July 1647 at Quebec, Canada. The contract was drawn up by the notary M. Bancheron. It is noted that she is the daughter of Jacques Archambault & Francoise Torreau - both present at the signing. Michel was originally from the parish of Ste-Suzanne, Maine, France; his parents were the late Gabriel Chauve & Marie Harouard.3 Anne married Michel Chauvin on 29 July 1647 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.4 After their marriage they moved to Montreal where in 1650, their home was burned by the Iroquois.5 This marriage was annulled on 8 October 1650 after it was discovered Michel had been 1st married in France, and he was banished from Montreal.6 A contract for the marriage of Jean Gervais & Anne Archambault was signed on 3 February 1654. Anne married 2nd Jean Gervais on 3 February 1654 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.7 1666, Anne and her husband, Jean, were listed on the Canadian Census at Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Jean Gervaise [55 years], Anne Archambault [45 years], Marguerite [11 years], Cunegonde [9 years], Jeanne [6 years], Jean [4 years], Louis [2 years] & servants: Giles Devenus [45 years] & Antoine Deserre [22 years].3 1667, Anne and her husband, Jean, were listed on the Canadian Census at Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Jean Gervaise [52 years], Anne Archambault [36 years], Marguerite [13 years], Cunegonde [11 years], Jeanne [8 years], Jean [6 years], Louis [4 years], Nicolas [1 year] & servants: Antoine Lesueir [20 years] & Barthelemy Lemaistre [32 years].3 1681, Anne and her husband, Jean, were listed on the Canadian Census at Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Jean Gervaise [60 years], Anne Archambault [50 years], Louis [18 years], Nicolas [16 years], Cecile [10 years] & Urbain [8 years].3 Anne's husband, Jean, died circa 12 March 1690 in Montreal, leaving her a widow. Anne departed this life on Wednesday, 29 July 1699 in Montreal at age 67 years.8 She was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Thursday, 30 July 1699.9

    Anne Archambault was born about 1631 in Dompierre-Sur-Mer, Larochelle, Aunis, France; and died on July 29, 1699 in Montreal. She married Michel Chauvin from Ste-Suzanne, Luval, Maine, France; the son of Gabriel Chauvin and Marie Arouard; on July 27, 1647. The couple would have two children before it was discoved that Michel was already married.
