Jean Neau

M, b. 1632, d. 1 May 1699
     Jean was born in 1632 in Machecoul, Bretagne, France. He was the son of Jacques Neau & Perine Clavier.1 Jean married Marie Bonhomme, daughter of Nicolas Bonhomme and Catherine Gouget, on 21 July 1661 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1666, Jean and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Comte de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Jean Neau [24 years], Marie Bonhomme [18 years] & a domestic under contract, Jean Poirier [25 years].3 1667, Jean and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census. Enumerated in this household were Jean Neau [40 years] & Marie Bonhomme [20 years].4 1681, Jean and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Sillery, ville de Quebec. Enumerated in this household were Jean Nau [49 years] & Marie Bonhomme [32 years].5 Jean departed this life on Friday, 1 May 1699 in Ste-Foy, ville de Quebec at age 67 years. He was buried there in the churchyard of Notre Dame de la Foy Church on Saturday, 2 May 1699.6
