Thomas Mulford

M, b. 1640, d. after 12 June 1706
     Thomas was born in 1640 in Massachusetts. He was first married to Elizabeth Barns. Thomas married Hannah Williams, daughter of Thomas Williams and Elizabeth Tart, in Barnstable County, Massachusetts.1 Thomas and Hannah did not have any children. Thomas made his will on 12 June 1706.

In the name of God Amen. Know ye that I Thomas Mulford Sr of the Town of Eastham In ye County of Barnstable New England this Twelfth day of June 1706 send Greeting:
I the abovesd Thomas Mulford being weak in body byt of perfect mind & memory Calling unto mind my frailty and mortality do make and ordain this my Last will and testament – That is to say principally & first of all I Recommend my soul into tye hands of ye Lord, And my body I recommend to ye earth to be decently buryed att ye discression of my Executors. And as touching the worldly estate wherewith God has blessed me: my Debts and Funerall charges defrayed I do give will demise & dispose of ye same In ye following maner and form.
Impe. I do give and bequeath and will to my beloved wife Hannah Mulford all my rents dues profits that do of Right belong to me from my son John Mulford by virtue of a Lease or any maner of Contract between him & myself for her comfort use dispose annually to be paid to her without fraud or delay according to contract for her own proper use and dispose as she shall see good.
Item I give to my Loving wife the use profit benefit of my part of Dwelling House or housing and all priviledges appertaining to me during her Naturall Life.
I give to my Loving wife ye use & Improvement of all my Household goods & the disposal of them if ye comfort & nessesity of her Life Do Require in Disposal of them silver money excepted.
Item I do give to my son Thomas Mulford five pounds out of my Estate to be paid to him or his heirs & assigns by my Executor hereafter mentioned In silver money.
Item I do give and bequeath to my son John Mulford five pounds out of my estate to be paid him or his heirs or assigns by my Executors hereafter mentioned In silver money.
Item I do give and bequeath to my Grandson Thomas Mulford ten pounds out of my estate att my wives decease.
Item I do give and bequeath to my Grandson Thomas Doane five pounds out of my estate to be paid to him att my wives decease.
Item I do give and beaueath ye Residue of silver money To be equally divided between my wife and my two daughters.
Item I do will and bequeath to my two Daughters viz: Patience Doane, Elizabeth Mulford the whole remainder of my estate Personal & Real undisposed of by myselfe att my wives decease To be to them and their heirs or assigns.
Item I do hereby Revoke Disannull all & every former will & testament Ratifying this to be my Last will and testament appointing ordaining making constituting my Loving wife Hannah and my son John Mulford to be Joynt Executors of this my Last will & testament.

Thomas departed this life in Eastham.5 He was buried there in the ancient Cememtery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: died 8 June 1706 about 66 years.6,7
