William Mildmay

M, d. before 14 February 1570
     William was born in England. He was of Springfield Barnes. William married 2nd Agnes Sharpe, daughter of Robert Sharpe and Elizabeth Hewes, on 8 May 1563 in England. His son, Thomas, marries his step daughter, Alice Winthrop. William's wife, Agnes, died on 13 May 1565 in County Essex, England, leaving him a widower. William made his will on 13 February 1570 at Springfield, County Essex, England.

13 Feb. 12 Eliz. Anno Dni 1570. Willm myldmay of Spryngfelde in the county of Essex gent. My body to be buryed within the parish Church of Springfelde as aforesaid. I will that Willm Myldmay my sonne's eldest sonne shall have Sampford Barnes and Barnes myll after that xxii yeres be expired. Item, I do give unto Sara Myldemay my sonne's daughter my two Croftes of land at Springfeld after twenty yeres be expired. Item I do give unto George Myldemay my sonne's seconde sonne my copyhold houses at Moulsham and my copyholde at the Marshe style. I do give unto Mary Celey tenne pounds; unto Susan Winthroppe tenue pounds to be paid hir at the day of hir marriage. Residue of my goodes to Thomas Myldemay my sonne (whom) I do make my Executor..1
