     Edward was born on Saturday, 26 April 1862 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. He was New Tag On 20 December 1884, Edward's father in his will leaves him the north 1/2 of lot 12 in the 12th concession containing 100 acres. The will was
registered 16 April 1886. at the north 1/2 of lot 12 of the 12th concession, Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada.1 Edward died on Saturday, 27 May 1893 at Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, at age 31 years, 1 month and 1 day of acute phthisis that he had suffered from for five or six weeks.2 Edward was laid to rest in the yard of St. Edmund Church, Village of Stoco, Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, iin plots 298. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Edward, son of Francis & Mary Meraw 27 May 1893 - age 31 years, 1 month, 1 day.3 Edward made his will 10 January 1894 at the north 1/2 of lot 12 of the 12th concession, Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. On 10 January 1894, the executors of Edward's will, Joseph Meraw & wife and Charles A. Meraw deeded to Henry Laundry the north 1/2 of lot 12 of the 12th concession containing 100 acres for the sum of $1,125.00.4
