     Ada Bertha was born on Tuesday, 3 July 1866 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Ada Bertha Meraw also went by the name of Addie. In the early 1890's, Addy went to Detroit, Michigan where she was a seamstress. She often lived with her sisters Ethel & Annie, helping them with their families. She was never married. She became a naturalized citizen on 13 September 1943.1 Ada was listed on the U.S. Federal census living with her sister in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Enumberated in the household were George J. Lemire [29 Canada immigrated 1900], Anna E. [29 Canada immigrated 1900], They were married 4 years living Labrosse & 3rd Ave. Addie B. Meraw [35 Canada immigrated 1892 dressmaker], Ethel M. [24 Canada immigrated 1906 tailoress].. |Vol 097; ED 0049; Fam. 0177] Ada departed this life on Friday, 12 November 1943 in Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan, at her sister's home, 619 Vinewood at age 77 years, 4 months and 9 days. She was buried at Southfield in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In section 15, lot 65, grave 7. She is in the same section as her sisters Ethel & Annie..2
