Enumerated in this household were Elmer McCurdy [25 Kansas], his wife: Ethel G. [24 Kansas], Gladys S. [4 4/12 Kansas] & Morris R. ]2 3/12 Kansas]. He was 22 years old when first married and she was 21 years old. He is a laborer doing odd jobs.1 4 April 1940, Ethel and her husband Thomas were listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas. Enumerated in this household were Elmer T. McCurdy [35 Kansas], his wife: Ethel Grace [33 Kansas], Gladys Irene [14 Kansas] & Marvin Rex [12 Kansas]. Elmer completed 1 year of high school & Ethel the 8th grade. Elmer & Ethel are both janitors at the school house.2 Ethel's husband, Thomas, died on 2 October 1980 in Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas, at age 76 years, 4 months and 10 days, leaving her a widow. Ethel was a very sweet lady of about 4 foot 5 inches tall. Ethel departed this life in 2001 at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas, at age 96 years. Ethel was laid to rest in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas.
