Llewellyn was born on Saturday, 1 April 1905 at McClure, Henry County, Ohio. He was the son of William Orson McCurdy III and Alma Grace Harmon. Llewellyn married Mildred Geiser in 1928 at Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. They were married at the Geiser home. Liewellyn spent most of his life working for the United States Department of Agriculture. Llewellyn departed this life on Friday, 5 September 1980 at Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio, at age 75 years, 5 months and 4 days. Llewellyn was laid to rest in the Toledo Memorial Park & Mausoleum, Sylvania, Lucas County, Ohio.
